Land of the Pharaohs notes
In todays class, we studied for the test coming up on Wednesday. Mostly we went over the mummification process and how the government was set up during that time era. Pharaohs were worshiped as a God which means anyone would do anything for them. Also, Pharaohs had multiple wives and often was cheated on. Women could inherit money and land and divorce husbands when wanted. Gods were often portrayed with animal heads and bodies. 3100 B.C. the two lands were united under a single king or Pharaoh. Lastly, upper Egypt was a 500 mile long strip of fertile land along the Nile; Lower Egypt was the wide land of the Nile delta, emptying into the Mediterranean sea.
